I say the original post was asked to perform a Gage R&R study on his CMM not a Gage R, although he sould do that as well. Since almost everyones programs are different, he would need to do this on every program he has. I do believe in the 10 parts/3 appraisers, and 3 trial methodology since that is what the AIAG MSA 3rd edition asks for.
